Matcha: the origin of this tea

Matcha, made in China or Japan?

It is often said that matcha is of Japanese origin, but in reality this tea comes to us from China, where it was used by Buddhist monks since the year 960.

It was only in 1191 that a Buddhist monk named Eisai went to Japan and introduced the famous matcha there.

This green tea has, little by little, lost its popularity in China over the following centuries. But in Japan, the exact opposite has happened! Indeed, matcha has been so successful that it has become THE tea for the Japanese tea ceremony.

Matcha : Dosage

How many cups of matcha tea per day?

Despite the many virtues of matcha tea, we recommend that you do not exceed a maximum of 2 to 3 cups per day.

Matcha tea, Where to buy it ?

The organic matcha, the real one!

We strongly advise you to opt for 100% organic matcha, which gives off a beautiful green color and delicious flavors.

Non-organic matcha is often a “fake matcha” with a yellow color and a bitter taste.

It is important to know that the more the powder is green, the more the tea is noble, so a yellow color is simply to be banish.

So, don’t let yourself be fooled and choose an organic quality that will bring you maximum benefits!
